evac™ series

front/back modular sling pack

Being jammed in confined spaces for hours is an unfortunate part of the business for many professionals we serve. Whether it’s a military unit in a personnel carrier, a pilot in a cockpit, drivers in a HumVee, or a journalist in the back of a goat truck, they all have to bring their gear, and all may need to ‘relocate’ in a hurry. This is the environment for which our Evac™ line of sling-packs has been developed. Slim shaped, for fast maneuvering in crowds, they can be stored in vehicles/lockers, and are quick to take on or off. They are also ambidextrous, and unlike others in this class, are actually comfortable to wear. The main padded strap is cocked at either the right or left lower corner, so the pad aligns ergonomically in the correct body-hugging direction. There is no slack, or gapping away from the body as is typical with similar single shoulder packs. The bag can be rotated to the chest for on-the-go access, and all pockets are designed to face the user in this mode on either the right or left side. This means the user can go from wearing the pack on his back, to driving a vehicle with it on his chest in just a few seconds. One-strap also makes shouldering a long-gun natural - unlike a regular backpack.

Awesome bag

Purchased this bag with the intent to make a bug out bag. Itâ€s a great bag that hold a lot of valuable items. Itâ€s also great that you can add on if necessary. Also feels very comfortable when you adjust it to fit your body frame.

(Grey man) 3 years and counting

So, I’ve been carrying this bag everywhere for 3 years now and I can’t say enough how confident I am in saying it’ll go for 10 and still be my everyday go bag. I drive a small car and having a bag that is easy to manipulate getting in and out, going to work and getting home without having an edc-valanche has been fantastic. I frikin love the locking quick release clasp! I wash it in the washing machine. I take the Velcro shelf out and turn it inside out and wash it on the gentle cycle, then hang it out to dry. It’s been in heavy rain, dragged through muddy snow, left in the sun, and covered in sand at the beach. It goes everywhere I go and it sees more abuse than I’d like but damn has it flourished. It fits a 32oz yeti rambler in the side pockets. It has pockets for my multi-tools and pens. My screw driver kit has a perfect home in the netting on the inside. If you need a bag that needs to be tough as nails and comfortable the Plan-B Grey Man is hands down the best bang for your buck. Works great as a range bag too if you don’t mind a little poke out of the top. It’s also cool if you don’t want to scream how tactical of a dad you are, but throw your moral patches on it because it’s got a great space for that if you’re into it. 10/10 would buy again, but the likelihood it’ll break before they discontinue it is slim. MY ONLY GRIPE is they don’t make a grey man jelly-roll so I gotta go black or tan!

Great transit bag

In the services, it’s all on the bus, off the bus. This bag keeps your kit with you at all times. Across your body or tucked down beside you. It is not that good for long distance heavy load carrying but that’s not it’s function. It does need some adjustments to fit comfortably if you have never used a sling pack before.
It is deceptive in its ability to pack kit away. As it is tall and thin, you are not going to get away with packing a crease free dress shirt but with careful planning it will sort you for 5 days.
The bag has the usual innovations synonymous with this brand- light coloured interior to aid finding kit. Quick release buckles, straps to compress the pack and to keep it close if you need to move fast.
Adding pouches and the larger slings does impede on the design philosophy of a transit bag.
This is year 3 for my bag and it has served its purpose and still going strong.
If you are squeezed into vehicles and need your kit, then need to to moderate walking, say ten K, this bag is worth a gamble.
And worth every penny.
As for durability and build quality, two words: hazard 4

One of the few oblong bags left on the market

Excellent design. It replaced another bag whose zippers broke over time. Fits my 150-600 telephoto + 90mm f/1.8 macro + 28mm + extension tube +a set of 72mm filters + small accessory box + A7 III with 55mm mounted lens in the main compartment. Both external pockets could carry my foldable pano head / 4 way macro rails, outlet charger and 1st aid kit. Tripod fits on either side using the available compression straps. The resulting 9kg/20lbs load can be carried easily and comfortably thanks to the generously padded shoulder strap. It took some time to figure the Evac Photo Insert is somehow required, but I ended using only its dividers; the outer case, while offering better protection, would consume too much space to fit my gear

great "go" bag

I bought this first for myself, and gifted it twice before finally keeping one. Very well made, good size for a go bag/bug out bag. Is more "stealth" due to color and material, which I like.
