_ use together or independently on vest straps to cover arms & display patches without heating your core. _ wearing heavy body armor, t-shirt, etc. - easy to put on & go from short to long sleeves w/out needing a new shirt. _ can be useful in areas with dramatic changes in weather; cover arms from sun, rain, cold and abrasion. _ also cover arms in hot weather to keep off mosquitos, sun, rocks, etc. when midsection would be pointless to cover. _ has built in elbow pads and splits in the middle.
