rugged rolling carry-on

Sport/fashion branded carry-on's don't perform well on a bombed runway in Afghanistan loaded with contractor's supplies, or a cobble-stone street pulling news-camera gear. This model is the 4x4, heavy-truck equivalent to their station-wagon. And you won't look like a fashion victim standing amongst the pros when you arrive with this feature-loaded partner by your side.

Differences between Original vs MK2. (2020) Air Support Luggage:
1. Replace all rubber textile with Cordura® fabrics (more abrasion resistant and last way longer.)
2. Interior liner changed to tricot instead of polyester to allow for the use of hook-fastener dividers.
3. Replace generic locking buckles with Hazard 4® patented Roto-Lock buckles (already implemented on some of the later batches of the original design.)
4. Simplify decorative trim lines to reduce weight.
5. Reduced padding on the laptop pocket in the main compartment, so the pocket can be stored away allowing for more space when not needed.

Instruction/Care

Never use a washer or a dryer to clean/dry your pack. Be sure to empty all pockets, shake out dirt and debris. Soak your Hazard 4® bag in lukewarm water with mild detergent for 10-15 minutes and swish it vigorously. Use clean sponge, cloth to clean dirty spots. Use a clean small and soft brush such as a toothbrush to scrub clogged zipper teeth or pocket corners - be very gentle so you don't damage any coating or finish. Rinse thoroughly to remove any detergent residue. Dry all metal parts completely as quickly as possible. Use a lubricant made for zippers to improve zipper slide. Invert your pack inside out and hang it to dry in shade. DO NOT place it in direct sunlight as UV light can degrade and discolor the fabric.

Five year follow up - yes....Five years

Just another followup on this amazing piece of luggage. 1) No, Hazard 4 isn't paying for this and 2) no, I didn't get a free bag from Hazard4 for these reviews. Its just that every time I travel, this is my 'go to' bag. Still, the same one I purchased in 2018 and it's still going strong. No issues. No problems. No rips. No tears. I do check this bag most of the time when I travel, and yes, I still manage about 150 flights a year (seems like more this year), but this bag handles it every time without any issues. Still going strong. If anything happens to this bag, I would definitely buy this again. Can't go wrong with this bag. Carry on.

Three-year followup! Still FIVE stars!

This is a follow-up review. You can scroll around and see I left one about a month after I purchased this carryon/roller travel bag. This bag fits the bill every single time. I travel extensively. I'm on the a-list for three airlines and log about one-hundred-and-fifty flights (yes, even during this COVID BS) a year and this is my main bag. I looked far and wide for a 1000D Cordura bag (I won't buy anything less for travel), and this seemed perfect. Sometimes I check it. Sometimes I carry it on. So far, it still looks brand new! It holds about a business week's worth of clothes, in addition to my laptop, power cords, and some small extra things. Great pockets on the inside and outside. Since COVID, I started carrying a set of travel silverware with me, so I check the bag when I do that. I'm sure it's been beaten up, but like I said this bag comes through. There are two separate locking compartments. One for a laptop sleeve (yes, you can check a laptop even with the battery in it - a little known TSA fact), and one for clothes etc. Although the laptop sleeve does take up some space inside the clothing section, it is in a position where you're still left with a lot of room. Inside you've got two tightening straps so even if you're using those vacuum bags for your clothes (which I advise), it'll help compact them even more. Leaving some extra room for little knick-knacks - like a pair of sandals or shoes. I'll throw in a travel router as well as a Roku stick, power adapters, shave kit and everything has always arrived fully in tact. I can't recommend this bag enough. I'm hoping to get a few more years out of it, and when it finally gives, I'm definitely going to be purchasing another one of these (as long as they keep making it out of 1000D Codoura. Can't beat the quality of the construction and the durability of the whole bag overall.

Great carry on luggage

This pack is rugged and just right if you are a rough traveler. I normally travel with my gear and this bag is perfect because it loads up nicely, has great exterior pockets, but the molle around the bag allows me attach even more stuff.

Excellent carry on travel bag! The best!

I searched high and low for a carry-on bag that would meet two requirements: 1) be a tough MF, and 2) fit into Southwest's overhead compartments (some airlines seems to be different than others). This fit the bill under both headings. This bag is very well made. The quality of the fabric is the best. All the stitches and seams are well sewn and sealed. It is very rugged, and it has won me over to Hazard4 over my standards - 5.11 and Thule. This bag held everything I needed for a five business day long trip, along with extras, and had a sleeve for my laptop. I used to carry my laptop in a shoulder bag carrier, but now I use this and free my 'under the seat' bag for lighter things. This bag is not only tough, but it looks great AND it fits in all variants of Southwest's 737 fleet without any struggle. Great job Hazard4 on this bag! I would not hesitate to purchase another one (if I ever wear this one out!)

Weaponized

These guys took your traditional, everyday rollaboard and weaponized it. I love this thing, for all the reasons the reader of this review would appreciate. As another wrote: bombproof. This thing has mucho capacity, you just need to PACK this bag, not lay stuff into it. I'll hold more than you think at first glance. Laptop sleeve I could do without, but it tucks away easily enough. Handle retracts with a smooth snap- feels like it will outlast my previous 2 "top brand" bags.. Stands upright with fully loaded 'Ditch' briefcase attached. I don't anticipate replacing this bag. Ever.
