I fucking love this bag!

This is straight up one of the best bags I have ever purchased! So, I figured I would finally write a review. A little back story. I was in need of a new laptop bag and my wife groaned when I said I was looking for one. This is because it takes me over 3~6 months of research to find one which can handle my abuse. In the military we used to say it had to be grunt proof! So, I came across this one and did some research and finally pulled the trigger. Since my last bag we won't mention any names ("O"), it failed me after just 3 months when one of the buckles snapped.
When I received the bag I liked all the features and the molle system. Since I travel internationally several times a year (15+) I had some high standards for it. Well it didn't disappoint. I have owned this bag since August 10th of 2014. And after over 80 trips internationally and daily carry to the office for my laptop and other crap I need for work, it is still holding up. It does show signs of wear which is expected. But, man this bag preformed and I have packed it to the max with some serious weight and it's been thrown around as well. I will definitely get another one when this finally has made it's end of life..

I just purchased another Sidewinder after my 1st Sidewinder finally died (Zipper). I had it for 10-15yrs. Carried everyday- fully loaded with gear… This bag is my EDC/Get Home Bag. There are changes I’d like Hazard4 to make to this bag that would make it the best sling pack ever. But, it still is the best slingpack on market today for someone who needs EDC/GHB

Frequent traveler, usually 4-5 days out of the week I'm flying somewhere. I have been putting up with inferior packs, pieced together storage packs, Molle & PALS webbing holding it all together trying to make the perfect bag. I failed. Once I saw this I knew I had to give it a shot. Although I have not traveled with it yet, as I have just received it today, I can tell it's going to solve a lot of problems for me.

Bought one of these about 5 years ago and it held up, zipper is tough bag itself is tough. From range to tactical use. and the bonus of adding a beacon light to it makes this bag amazing, i just had to order anther one.

I love this bag. When I first saw it the price scared me off until I got a gift card and thought what the heck. That was almost 3 years ago. Since then this bag has been with me almost every day as my work bag/edc bag. The only draw back is that it does not fit my 17.3 inch laptop but does fit a 15.6 but it is snug. The main compartment is great as it is a little longer than a normal backpack. I keep all my stuff in smaller bags so it is all organized so I was able to fit a 4th bag instead of the usual 3 like other bags. The admin compartment will keep everything you need organized and the straps that keep it from flopping open all the way is a life saver. The very front zipper pocket is great to keep a back up batter and all charging cords. There are 2 side pockets that could hold small bottles. The one with the zipper can hold 2 cans of Celsius snugly. The other one that is the same width but no zipper I am able to keep a diabetic blood sugar meeter and it is tight to get in and out so I know it won’t fall out. Don’t think about yawing a Nalgene bottle in either pocket. With all the use that I put it through there is just barely scuffing on the bottom. I would definitely buy again. With how well it is made it has made me a fan of hazard 4 and I have bought multiple more bags from them since and will keep doing so.

Okay so look, this backpack has traveled over 40k miles for the last 3 years through planes and various environments and hasn't broke down on me even slightly. About the only issue is I had one of the sipper pull cords come undone. Easy fix retie the thing. So quality is superb. No rips no tears no actual degregation of it's overall usability. It also fits a 17" laptop not in the main laptop sleve but I'm the main body just fine with a lot of room I always pack more stuff and for what it is it has a lot of room and is worth the buy. However, I will note and this is the biggest issue with the backpack. You carry all the weight on one shoulder, if you pack this thing time and time again with a decent amount of weight that you are expecting to carry for hours. It has a detrimental effect for your body. I don't have any medical problems from this but I can definitely feel carrying 50-60 lb on my shoulder with this thing after a few hours. Design for what they intended is absolutely what they wanted and got, as I said it's quality is fantastic. But if you use it with heavy stuff alot it's going to wear on your left shoulder. This being said, I'm going to buy another backpack from these guys because the quality and how it's lasted is hands down better than basically any other large backpack I've had. It has been roughly 10 years since I bought this bag. When I say I have used it at least weekly since then is no exaggeration. I will never go anywhere without this bag. I can not recommend enough how great of a design this is. I find uses for it in every scenario you can think of. 4 years in the Marines with it and am about to head overseas with it in the Army. This is lucky pack. Thank you to Hazard 4 for putting out such great, reliable products.

I bought this as the plan b was too thin to fit an iPad Pro and I love it! It is so comfortable and it carry loads of kit, probably too much kit! A great design, i have mounted a 5.11 IFAK pouch on the front along with a broadside. I have both the dividers and the div and use both equally depend what I am doing. Greta bag, cannot recommend it enough!

Before ordering, I used their online chat system. The sales representative was very helpful and polite. Shipment to Canada were well packed and faster than I thought, less than a week since order placed. Design outstanding, quality nothing to complain, this company puts lots of effort and thoughts to their products. I will 100% recommend their products to others.

I,ve had my Sidewinder sling bag for over a month and it is by far the best sling bag that I have ever owned. Love it, great bag. Looking for a good quality bag, I recommend Hazard 4. Best sling bags and back packs ever made.

Just got my Sling pack, and I love it, this is the best one I've had so far, and I've had alot of different one's. Very durable, holds all my gear for the range and more. GREAT PRODUCT.

I got my Sidewinder recently, and am happy with the quality and look of the new buckle. I changed some the paracord zipper pulls on mine to orange just to make my bag more casual. I like the look of the Lazer cut molle helps cut down the hard tactical look a bit. I also added a Hatch hard case to for valuables, and to further lower the military/ tactical look a bit, and to help blend in more with civi sheeple. As i'm studying emergency prepardness, I am looking more into more into backpack companies like hazard 4 and 5.11. I appreciate the durable products, and how hazard 4 is trying to go into the grayman/ blend in more direction. I'm learning more about the importance of not standing out much in a SHTF situation, like the military grade durable products. hazrad 4 please begin to add options like more lazer cut molle on your bags, and paracord zipper pull options. In my opinion, the Sidewinder and Second Front bags would look great with a hard shell added, like on the Patrol, Plan B and Plan C. Thanks.

This pack will work well for both of the functions that I need it to do. For school, this will work well to keep all my stuff in order and protect my laptop. For bugout, All of my 3 day supplies fit in here. For those that say they can't fit all their 3 day stuff, I say you are packing too heavy. Light and fast is key. Take only what you absolutely need.

I bought the Sidewinder to use as a 24-48 hour pack for going to work at the fire station. It fit the bill perfectly! Plenty of space to store all the things I take to work and then some. Like all of the Hazard 4 products it is well made and tough as nails. The sling is easily one of the most comfortable I've ever worn. This bag is worth every cent!

This is my second Hazard 4 bag and I have loved it. I have been using it for almost a year now and I have been impressed with its quality and design. Its primary focus for me is a hunting and range bag, so it is often filled with ammo gear and guns. It fits against my back very well so even when running it holds tight against me without sliding off my shoulder. I added a second stabilizer strap in order to hold it even tighter. I would highly recommend this bag, and like all of Hazard 4's gear, it is going to hold up and last. Don't let the price intimidate you.

This is the first bag I have purchased and I am in no way disappointed. Wide range of choices for securing whatever you need to carry. Great travel or EDC bag. Fantastic job on design of this bag.

I like it so much, very practical and good looking.

I've owned this bag for over 2 years and have never had any real issues. The buckle has broken and it's hard to get a replacement in the UK as the delivery from the US is 30 dollars on a 2 dollar item. Used this bag for running, skiing, cycling, commuting, studying, hunting, fishing and for my mma gear and it's eaten it all up. It's even survived a few nights out on the town left in bars. I'm secretly waiting for it to break so I can try some of Hazard 4s new gear! I fear that's unlikely to happen soon.

I have owned the Switchback for over two years and it keeps a smile on my face every time I use it. Well made and intelligent design, all things I have come to expect out of Hazard4 gear. It Mods easy and is quite flexible. Love it!

I received my bag today and my initial impression of the bag is it's great. The whole bag seems to be made well, with great seams. Plenty of space for a variety of activities, from EDC to a weekend trip. Unfortunately I'm in Germany and wont be able to see how this bag functions as a concealed carrier until I return to the U.S., the dimensions do suggest it will fit my Mini-Draco. I look forward to putting this bag to the test on some hikes through Europe.

Feature-packed laptop bag with everything you need to store your laptop and other accessories. I've owned the Switchback for a year now and have used it almost every day. The bag is insanely durable and still looks good as new. No sign of any wear or tear so far. I use mine with the Cartridge laptop sleeve, which fits perfectly in the Switchback. Only one minor gripe: the bag doesn't sit very well on my shoulder and could be uncomfortable after carrying for long periods of time. Also, I have become addicted to buying accessories and pouches for the bag. I've ended up using the bag so much and cramming so much in it that I'm now considering buying the Patrol pack that can hold much more gear. Overall this is the best bag I've ever purchased.

This bag is amazing and strong. I've been using it continuously for over a year and it's perfect. I use it for my laptop and bike tools to ride to and from work. Comfortable (no pinch or rubbing points). The rear laptop carrier fits a full widescreen laptop - though I would make sure you measure yours first to make sure its not too big. All stitch points are really secure and well stitched/sealed. Worth every cent i paid for it.

I have been using this Sling Pack for just shy of a month now and remain impressed. I have run performance/tactical gear in one form or another for 22+. Running 20-40lbs of professional camera gear in this pack. The quality of the materials is only matched by the quality of the design and manufacturing. No loose seams, no frayed ends, matched fabric results in a perfect layout. Excellent product. Has all the desirables comparable manufacturers leave out/off.

Bought this as my overnight bag I carry between 2 24hr shift jobs. I went from a stuff sack style bag to this. Love the compartments and versatility. I also bought the divider kit and sandwiched them in the main compartment to make a separate clothing nook. The possibilities are endless with this one, love the size and profile. Fits my Thinkpad X1 in the laptop sleeve no problems.

I shopped around..I searched and searched....molle comp bags are just so ordinary..but this sling....awesome...the quality is superb..the stitching is awesome..the sling is convenient and really unconventional... One drawback..if you are carrying really heavy duty stuff...this comp bag is not good.. Also side packs..not necessary..just the inside board...and foam pads can really do this pack good. well made...I love this bag
