evac™ series

tactical optics sling pack

Being jammed in confined spaces for hours is an unfortunate part of the business for many professionals we serve. Whether it’s a military unit in an a.p.c., a pilot in a cockpit, drivers in a HumVee, or a journalist in the back of a goat truck, they all have to bring their gear. And they all may need to ‘relocate’ in a hurry. This is the environment for which our Evac™ line of sling packs has been geared. They are slim shaped to be easily manoeuvred in crowds, or stored in vehicles/lockers, and are quick to take on or off. They are also ambidextrous, and unlike others in this class, are actually comfortable on the shoulder; The bottom strap clips from either the right or left lower corner and the padded section realigns itself ergonomically in the correct body-hugging direction. The bag can be rotated to the chest for on-the-go access, and all pockets are designed to face the user in this mode on either the right or left side. One-strap-carry also makes shouldering a long-gun comfortable - unlike a backpack.

Instruction/Care

Never use a washer or a dryer to clean/dry your pack. Be sure to empty all pockets, shake out dirt and debris. Soak your Hazard 4® bag in lukewarm water with mild detergent for 10-15 minutes and swish it vigorously. Use clean sponge, cloth to clean dirty spots. Use a clean small and soft brush such as a toothbrush to scrub clogged zipper teeth or pocket corners - be very gentle so you don't damage any coating or finish. Rinse thoroughly to remove any detergent residue. Dry all metal parts completely as quickly as possible. Use a lubricant made for zippers to improve zipper slide. Invert your pack inside out and hang it to dry in shade. DO NOT place it in direct sunlight as UV light can degrade and discolor the fabric.

Ideal camera bag, military approved

I've had this bag for about 7 years. Not only is it a perfect camera bag, but it is arguably the most versatile bag I've ever bought. Every cubic inch counts and the customization potential is huge. I've taken this bag to 3 continents and to Afghanistan. I've taken I hiking, camping, short range travel, hunting and primarily photography ventures. I've not gone easy on this bag and it continues to thrive. If you need one bag that can do anything within a 24-48hr window (assuming you aren't packing for a bunch of variable weather clothing) this is your go to gear bag. I can't say it enough, get this bag, get sole MOLLE pouches specific to your task, and get out there. The strap retention on the side is excellent for a clothing roll, tool roll, or range chair/ camera tripod. I could write a book on the capabilities of this pack.

Incredible Quality and versatility

I did extensive research in hopes of finding a quality camera bag to fit my needs, Hazard 4 and the photo recon bag have surpassed my expectations. the bag is incredibly comfortable and light weight. As an avid outdoors man i struggled with being able to quickly get to my lens in time to capture the next amazing wildlife shot. hazard 4 has completely solved that problem for me. the ability to roll the bag from my back to chest and have my lens be easily accessible is the best feature any photographer could ask for. this bag has made me a lifetime hazard 4 user. i will be recommending this bag to all my friends and any photographers i meet in the future!

Best purchase I have ever made

As a professional photographer, finding a bag that suites my need was honestly becoming a pain in my but. Then a Professional Photographer friend of mine, told me to check out Hazard4. So I check them out and liked what I saw, unfortunately I bought mine through eBay. However the Photo-Recon bag has been my new best friend ever since. And I am even looking at purchasing some other bags and accessories very soon. Their products are worth the price, they handle almost anything you through at them and then some.

No less than I'd expect from Hazard 4

I've had the Plan-B for a number of years and have beaten the crap out of it, it's held up to everything I've done to it like a champ. So, when I needed a photo bag it was a no brainer. The flexibility of configuration of this bag is off the charts and I am continually shocked at just how much I can cram in here and still have my components be safe. I'll run a nikon w/ lense mounted, 3 lenses, flash, tripod, batteries and filters and still have a bag that wears comfortably and allows quick access to whatever I need. Recently I've also discovered I can ditch the other lenses and fit my Mavic Pro drone in the lower zipped pocket so I can carry it and my camera into the country. Great product.

Best Field Bag I've Used

Fits two DSLRs with vertical battery grips, one with a 24-70 and another with a 70-200. On the side is an encased iPad Mini. Extra battery packs and a 580 flash tucked in there too. Strapped to the side is a 60" tripod. Compact, protective and easy to access. About the only thing that I thought would improve this is a better interface between the top end of the shoulder strap and the body of the bag. It's wide and tends to get in the way. A limited swivel joint might do the trick, or a very narrow flat buckle that allows a looped belt to play around a bit. But that's just nitpicking. OVerall, since acquiring it, it's the only bag I use. Nothing else comes close. Great job guys.
