Plan-B Hard™ (26.3 L)

I took this bag with my Sony A7rIV and my Sigma 60-600 with me on Safari to Kenya and Tanzania.
We had significant gear dimension and weight restrictions, and this fit the bill perfectly.
I was able to leave my lens attached to the camera, with the lens hood (it’s a beast of a lens, even with the lens hood reversed) and keep it well-protected from the dust and vibrations that go along with safari travel, but still get at it quickly for shots on the go.
I added a couple of external zipper pouches for extra batteries, cleaning gear and extra memory cards, tucked extra lens caps in the back, and my iPad traveled in the back separate zippered compartment.
Perfect bag for that trip. Highly recommended.

This IS the ultimate "Mobile Vault" for creators! I put the Hazard 4 Plan-B Hard through a brutal triple-threat field test to see if it lives up to the hype. From sub-zero ice fishing to the grit of a bull riding competition, this bag went where most soft-shell slings wouldn’t dare. A great investment to protect your expensive gear! Configure it any way you like. Was able to fit my Sony a7iv with a sony 200-600mm attached, my Mavic 3, Controller, and a few extra batteries, all in this hard-shell protective case!

Sling is locked into its position. The other slings from plan B let you switch the position ie the soft shell plan B. I normally like to have the sling over my right shoulder, but this one is stuck on the left-hand side, which I didn’t bother to investigate prior to purchasing. The construction is otherwise excellent but be aware you will need to wear it over your left shoulder.

I looked everywhere to find a protective bag for my 12k$ Sony 400 mm 2.8 lens. The Plan-B-Hard-Evac sling bag was the only bag out there to carry 18 inches of connected high-end lens, teleconverter and camera as well as the 7 inch diameter of the front element. The hard shell gives field protection while hiking rough terrain and the sling design allows for rapid access and lens changes safely in front of you over the bag. I carry an extra camera body and lens with a chest Cotton Carrier so as always to be ready when the big lens is safely stowed in the Plan-B-Hard sling bag. The bag has room for binoculars or an extra lens as well. This is the only field carrying system out there that safely allows you to take your super expensive equipment into the field for wildlife photography and still have it rapidly accessible with a hard shell sling bag. It's design is unmatched, the build quality is excellent, and it is a small investment for carrying $20,000 of equipment.
