Includes 2x 3M™ VHB™ (very high bond) semi-permanent adhesive hook-fastener. Use as a spare or replacement adhesive for Jeep Molded Storage Headliners.

3M™ 2-pc set (for one side): 12" L x 4" W (30.5 x 10.2 cm) and 16" L x 4" W (40.6 x 10.2 cm).

3M™ VHB™ adhesive provides extremely strong bonding when installed correctly and allowed to cure under proper conditions.

Pressure Sensitive Adhesive Hook Fastener Application Instruction:

1. Thoroughly clean the surface of the adhered substrate, remove oil, water, and dust, etc. and wait for it to dry completely. All cleaning agents should be tested prior to using, to be sure the cleaning agent will not have adverse effects on the substrate. (Citrus cleaners are not recommended.) In automotive hardtop interior application, Isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) may be a sufficient cleaning agent.

2. Peel the release liner from fastener tape and press firmly back and forth for at least 2 minutes into place. Note: Adhesive should be applied indoors in a clean, dust-free environment at a temperature of 15°C–26°C (59°F–79°F) with relative humidity around 40–60% (lower humidity generally produces a stronger bond). Application below 10°C (50°F) is not recommended, as the adhesive may not bond properly. If installation must occur in colder conditions, warm both the substrate and adhesive tape prior to application.

3. Curing Time: Allow 24–30 hours for the adhesive to fully cure before loading or attaching equipment. Exposure to cold temperatures during this curing period can reduce final adhesion strength.

Operating Temperature: Once properly installed and cured, the adhesive can tolerate operating temperatures up to 149°C (300°F).

Minimum effective operating temperature is approximately -35°C (-31°F). Short exposures to colder temperatures may be tolerated, but extended exposure below -35°C can reduce adhesion performance, especially if the adhesive was installed or curing in cold conditions.

Proper installation temperature and allowing the adhesive to fully cure at moderate temperatures are critical to achieving maximum bond strength.

Applying adhesive under 10°C/50°F is not recommended as it may not bond properly. If adhesive must be applied at lower than 10°C/50°F, warm the substrate and the tape to elevate temperature prior to applying.

3. Curing Time: allow 24-30 hours to achieve full bonding strength. Do not load before full curing time.
