beavertail daypack

This is Hazard 4®'s first daypack with an external load-carrier 'beavertail' for helmets, jackets, etc. The carrier can flip 180° down to manage long loads like rifles, and the bottom hinges allow detaching & expanding. Drawbridge has a unique top, perimeter, or side sling-style zipper access choice, and the load carrier has an admin area. There's a molded top-shell to protect optics, and other breakables, and is also a base for our exclusive HardPoint® hardware parts. A large zip pocket on the side fits Nalgene bottles, radios, etc., and a padded laptop/hydration area in soft molded back panel can fit laptops up to 17". The back panel adds structure, back safety & air circulation, and also has a removable luggage trolly-handle strap. When this luggage strap is off, loops are left for carabiners, etc. Drawbridge comes with our removable, minimal waist belt w/ patented roto-lock buckle, and fuzzy liner on inner walls for optional dividers/photo bin inserts. Side compression straps can hold objects to pack’s sides, and there's a large flat pocket under carrier & on pack-back. Other features include: supersized laser-cut MOLLE & hook-backing i.d. patch panel, MOLLE loops on 3 sides & harness for pouches, etc., and sternum strap with elastic auto-adjust, 2-position belt height.

Instruction/Care

Never use a washer or a dryer to clean/dry your pack. Be sure to empty all pockets, shake out dirt and debris. Soak your Hazard 4® bag in lukewarm water with mild detergent for 10-15 minutes and swish it vigorously. Use clean sponge, cloth to clean dirty spots. Use a clean small and soft brush such as a toothbrush to scrub clogged zipper teeth or pocket corners - be very gentle so you don't damage any coating or finish. Rinse thoroughly to remove any detergent residue. Dry all metal parts completely as quickly as possible. Use a lubricant made for zippers to improve zipper slide. Invert your pack inside out and hang it to dry in shade. DO NOT place it in direct sunlight as UV light can degrade and discolor the fabric.

Hazard 4/Civilian Lab do it again

Unparalleled quality from this company. This will be my 4th hazard 4 bag because they just do not quit. I have 2 slings - a Plan B for biking and frisbee golf and a Sidewinder that has been my EDC for the last few years. After a recent trip I found myself looking for something to serve as a larger EDC. I was comparing more traditional bags and could not find one that satisfied my need for personalization, organization, and multiple convenient gear access points the way my slings do. Until now. This bag is damn near perfect. Nice balance of grab and go access and a large main compartment that can be organized further with dividers/pouches and can easily be switched from work mode to play mode. The load carrier another selling point and adds a level of versatility that can keep up with your creativity (rack frisbees, lacrosse stick, growlers, on and on). The pack feels well balanced on your back. I think the only thing missing is an external pass through for a hydration hose (makes it to the main compartment like every other bag though). Also as seen in the pictures Greyman is mostly Civilian Lab branded, not Hazard 4 if that’s important to you. But get this bag.

Perfect EDC daypack

As a person who lives in a part of the country where the weather can change in an instant and having to commute to a job where the contents of your pockets doesn’t always get the job done the Drawbridge is an absolute dream of a pack. I have been a loyal customer of Hazard 4 for over ten years now and I have never been dissatisfied with any of the products I have purchased. However this pack checks all the boxes for my day to day needs. I simply leave what items I know I may need at a moment’s notice in the pack and swap out any other items before I leave for my commute each day. Even after that this pack allows me to adjust my load out to accommodate new items whether it be something I pick up on the way home or utilizing a different area of the pack to carry items like a wet raincoat so not to damage other sensitive items inside the pack.

My Dream Bag

Been buying from this company for years before this bag I have owned their Patrol Pack, and both of their camera bags. Although I love the Patrol Pack. Sometimes it was just too much and needed to find something better suited for an EDC. Then boom the Drawbridge comes along. A smaller package but no less features then my Patrol Pack. This pack allows me so many options for my day to day needs. Whether hiking, commuting, or just a diverse option for my camera equipment. The built in pocket and Molle really make this bag a must have for anyone looking to get their hands on a new EDC bag.
